Send workspace alerts to a Slack channel using an incoming webhook.

Connect your Slack channel

  1. Create an incoming webhook in your Slack app and choose the channel that should receive alerts.
  2. Open Alert channels in Cheapmonit and choose Slack.
  3. Paste the incoming webhook URL and select Add channel. Its saved URL is hidden in the dashboard.
  4. Use Send test on the active channel and check Delivery history as well as Slack.

Respond from an alert

On Premium, an outage alert in Slack can include a link to acknowledge the incident. The link opens a page where acknowledgement happens on submission; Cheapmonit does not provide a native acknowledgement button inside Slack.

Escalation policy steps send email. Adding a Slack channel does not change the escalation policy’s delivery method.
